Nonlinear supersymmetry is characterized by the superalgebra whose odd operators anticommute for the polynomials of even generators. It can be observed, for instance, in the form of a hidden symmetry of purely parabosonic systems related to Calogero system. Nonlinear supersymmetry is realized classically via a simple generalization of the pseudoclassical model underlying Witten supersymmetric quantum mechanics. Its quantization, however, gives rise to an anomaly problem whose resolution reveals a close relationship of the quantum systems possessing nonlinear supersymmetry with the exactly and quasi exactly solvable systems. I will review recent results on a reach algebraic structure underlying nonlinear holomorphic supersymmetry and will discuss the superconformal mechanics in the light of nonlinear supersymmetry.
